Being a church school

Our church school status is a key characteristic of our school. We have strong links with the Oxford Diocese education service and benefit from their courses and conferences. We have our own Diocesan adviser, who visits the school regularly to support our work in developing our church school ethos.
We have Voluntary Controlled (VC) Status which means our funding comes from the Local Authority and determines the number of governors who are nominated by the church.
We achieved an "Outstanding" report following our Statutory Inspection of Anglican Schools which took place in March 2016 and March 2018.

This logo represents all the Wokingham Church Schools and symbolises our commitment to serve our schools. The other smaller words around the cross are our Christian values of love, charity, reconciliation, hope, joy and forgiveness.  We achieved an "Outstanding" report following our Statutory Inspection of Anglican Schools.
Our links with the community and those between home and school are important to us and this was noted during our  Ofsted report which said; "The school places a very high priority on the welfare and well-being of pupils and it is a school where the views of pupils are valued. The strong links that the school has established with parents, the community and increasingly with other schools add another dimension to pupils' educational experiences."
Above all, we wish the time that our children spend with us to be both happy and relevant to their future needs. We see our role as an important one in providing the best possible start to the children's school education in preparation for the rest of their lives.
