Welcome to Polehampton Nursery
We are delighted to be opening our new nursery provision, called Polehampton Nursery, on Thursday 03 September 2026, an exciting new chapter for our school and community.
At Polehampton, everything we do is rooted in our vision of wanting all pupils and staff to “let your light shine” and our commitment to providing a happy, stimulating and caring environment where every child is known, valued and able to flourish. Our new nursery has been designed with this same ambition at its heart: to give children the very best possible start to their learning journey.

Our nursery will offer a nurturing, high-quality early years experience where children feel safe, confident and excited to learn. We know that the earliest years are crucial, and our approach is built around the following:

As a Church of England school, we are committed to providing a caring and inclusive environment where every child and family is welcomed, valued and respected. We recognise and celebrate the diversity of our community, including different backgrounds, beliefs and lived experiences. While daily collective worship is not expected in nursery, in the same way as in the main school, the nursery will continue to reflect the same inclusive ethos, ensuring that all children feel a strong sense of belonging within a respectful and nurturing environment.

Our nursery curriculum is carefully designed to be meaningful, relevant and inspiring, reflecting children’s interests and encouraging them to explore, question and discover. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage and other key guidance documents, such as Development Matters and Birth to 5 Matters.
Children at Polehampton Nursery will benefit from the following:

- early experiences in reading, language and number
- access to our wider school grounds and facilities, including outdoor and forest school learning.
